Cambridge, Massachusetts, 17 April, 2012: TERMINALFOUR, a leading web content management company, today announced the latest release of its web content management system - TERMINALFOUR Site Manager. The latest version, TERMINALFOUR Site Manager 7.2, has benefited from more than fifty feature updates including significant enhancements to its third party integration capabilities, end user usability and multilingual interface.
TERMINALFOUR Site Manager 7.2 has been driven by client feedback and addresses requests to be able to utilize all content and data stored throughout the organization. Integration with CRM, student records, ERP, HR, logistics and statistical systems has been enhanced. In addition, TERMINALFOUR’s new ‘External Content Syncer’ enables organizations to combine the publishing of user authored content with information from these backend systems. This has empowered users to intelligently integrate, edit, use and repurpose content from third party systems to various different channels.
The External Content Syncer enables organizations such as online retailers and airlines, for example, to pull information from multiple sources including product catalogues, product descriptions, photos, pricing, availability and display them on-line. This ensures consistent information on the website and, ultimately, offers sites such as an eCommerce site the flexibility to tailor information according to the visitor.
TERMINALFOUR Site Manager 7.2 is also the first release of the product certified across an entire IBM stack – offering greater support for organizations with an existing IBM infrastructure in place. The product can now be deployed on IBM’s DB2 database as well as the WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal. Specifically, financial services travel and retail enterprises that heavily depend on the IBM technology can now seamlessly and securely incorporate TERMINALFOUR Site Manager into their existing infrastructure.
In addition, as part of an ongoing effort to deliver a modern and function rich web content management system that is easy-to-use for non technical users enabling even greater rollout across enterprise organisations. TERMINALFOUR Site Manager 7.2 has seen significant advancements to its ‘Direct Edit’ end-user interface allowing occasional users to update web page elements whilst looking at the finished web page
TERMINALFOUR Site Manager 7.2 has also broadened its multilingual interface capabilities to include multi-byte character sets such as Chinese as standard.
Piero Tintori, CEO and Founder, said, "We're extremely excited to launch TERMINALFOUR Site Manager 7.2 and see it as real business enabler for our clients. "Furthermore, the enhancements to the user interface continue to simplify and streamline the publishing process for non technical end-users. The system is more intuitive and user friendly which will ultimately encourages greater adoption and use.
