Compliance equals better search rankings

Web & Accessibility Standards Compliance

As organisations continually struggle to compete effectively online against competitors on a global scale, everything they can do to gain a competitive advantage online should be taken. Complying with web standards can give web pages higher visibility in web searches. The structural information present in compliant documents makes it easier for search engines to access and evaluate the information in those documents, and they get indexed more accurately.

Throughout the TERMINALFOUR Site Manager system there are facilities to ensure that users meet technical and accessibility standards. TERMINALFOUR Site Manager (including the interface) is fully compliant with HTML5 and XHTML. There is a configuration option to select which one you wish to use and the WYSIWYG editor will correct minor issues where appropriate.

As required, TERMINALFOUR Site Manager editors can actually validate all content to conform to XHTML or HTML standards if required. Where meta-tag elements are generated, these are generated to XHTML/HTML standards by default.

As the system allows for complete control over the formatting of the styles and templates (including HTML5), the quality of the output is based on the quality of the styles and templates produced. Once the styles and templates are designed correctly, all pages within the site will meet the standard and end-users will not be able to override the standards (pixel-perfect).
