Meta Data Management

Meta Data increases the value of your content

Looking to make your web content easier to find in search engines? Help users find the right information by suggesting related content?

There are more advantages to good meta data than you would think:
  • It makes it easy for search engines find your content. This applies to both your own search engine and sites such as Google, Bing and Yahoo.
  • Suggest related content could help your users find the information they are looking for.
  • Organise your content in different ways.
  • Use web 2.0 tools such as tag clouds to help users navigate around your site.

Powerful Meta Data Management Features

Site Manager delivers best practice metadata standards:

  • Whole sites or sections of sites can be tagged by Site Manager Administrators at a directory level.
  • Individual content items can be tagged by end-users.
  • Content Templates can be tagged, using keywords presented from a pre-defined drop down dictionary list or taxonomies.
  • Structure your content based on a corporate taxonomy and then publish it based on a seperate site structure.
  • A diverse range of Meta Tag fields can be applied to Content Templates.
  • Using third party software from our partner, APR Smartlogic, it is possible to automatically tag entire sites or sections of sites where no tagging exists.
  • It is even possible to set specific meta-data fields as "compulsory", so that the system refuses to accept content submission until the meta-data has been supplied or selected from the pre-determined list.
  • Standards supported include Dublin Core, e-GMS, IPSV/GCL & IPSMS.
