Content within a website or Intranet can be password protected based on authentication and personalisation mechanisms within TERMINALFOUR’s Site Manager. This is the perfect solution used to protect extranets, Intranets and membership areas of websites such. It is even used to protect our own Extranet (extranet.terminalfour.com)!
Users can be managed within the TERMINALFOUR Site Manager interface, you can integrate with third party SSO technology or integrate with LDAP/Active Directory.
Additional optional features could also be implemented, such as the system reminding users of their passwords. We would also recommend implementing SSL encryption for password protected parts of the website. If you wish to use '.htaccess' files they can also be managed through TERMINALFOUR Site Manager.
When a person logs in the information can be completely personalised so they can only see information they are permitted to see.
