Database Integration
Integrates database content into search results
Ultraseek makes the wealth of information contained within relational databases available through through highly relevant, full-text search. Even novice users can access entire records, individual columns, tables or views without first having to learn complex query languages.
Database indexing is extremely easy to install, configure and manage on an ongoing basis, and can be implemented in a matter of minutes through an easy-to- use Web-based GUI.
Ultraseek integrates with many popular databases, including Oracle and Microsoft.
Direct Indexing
Indexing of database content, including binary large objects (BLOBs), occurs quickly and intelligently, ensuring that search results are always pulled from the most current content. Initial direct indexing is compiled at more than 50,000 records per hour, with subsequent revisits at up to one million records per hour. Ultraseek intelligently learns how frequently content changes and automatically schedules indexing accordingly, minimizing bandwidth usage and delivering more relevant results. Since the index of database content is precompiled and search results are returned immediately, users don't have to wait for lengthy database query processes to run.
Full-Text Search
Ultraseek offers powerful full-text search across structured content, freeing users from having to learn complex query languages like SQL, or how to use complicated database client interfaces. Advanced linguistic analysis tools deliver search results without requiring exact terms, correct spelling or capitalization - a feature not possible with database query tools. Relevance tuning gives administrators comprehensive control over the weighting of fields within indexed tables, allowing relevance to be customized to match business requirements.
Customizable Results Display
The Ultraseek Database Module, which integrates structured content into search results, returns responses in a customizable HTML format to match your corporate look and feel. By displaying database results in a familiar browser interface, users can perform quick queries without having to open a database client directly. The Database Module also includes the ability to exclude sensitive information, such as a "salary" column in a human resources database, from the index and search results.
