Workflow Management And Security

Site Manager's delivers exceptional work process streamlining, because it delegates the role of content provision, while centrally controlling the publishing of approved material in a consistent overall branded website.  In so doing, the publishing bottlenecks traditionally associated with busy webmasters are removed.  I.T. people are expertly deployed on more technical issues appropriate to their skills, while the provision of content is being managed and dispersed throughout the organisation by those more familiar with the actual content.

• Authorised users can be allocated specific functions and areas of the website for which they are responsible.  Rules and Roles can be modified at any time.
• Additional safeguards for website management are the Content Approval/Rejection Cycle, which allows content to be returned to the author specifying why it is being rejected. 
• Embargo and Expiry Dates ensure that content is not released before it is required and that out-of-date content is either deleted or filed to an archive section of a site for future reference.
• Workflows can be rapidly created via a highly intuitive browser based GUI. 
• There is no limit as to how many stages a workflow may have.

Alerts & Triggers

Site Manager's Alerts and Triggers module is a simple, yet highly effective, piece of technology.  It ensures streamlined information flows, with minimum need for human intervention, because it automates the process of alterting contributors or approvers of content to the fact that an action is required or outstanding.

Together with its workflow functionality, it is possible to determine what needs to happen based on required voting or approval.   For example, users can enable all 'voters' or 'approvers' to get an e-mail when an item enters a workflow in which they are involved, or when it reaches completion, or when it is approved by their peers. Similarly, alerts notify relevant personnel when content has been stalled in the workflowed approval process for a pre-determined number of days. This is very important as it ensures that if one approver in the process is away - on holidays for example - that the others are made aware of this and can change the process if needed.

Site Manager's alerts can utilise either email or SMS moibile text messaging.
