“Our solution and experience can seamlessly cross the Atlantic and open many new opportunities”, Piero Tintori, CEO and founder, TERMINALFOUR
TERMINALFOUR, Europe's fastest growing web content management company, today announced a contract to power the University of Virginia's (UVa) School of Nursing website with its enterprise web content management solution. TERMINALFOUR was chosen over a number of domestic and international enterprise and open-source vendors, winning out for its ease of use, powerful features, support, and competitive price-point. It marks the company's first content management deal with a US University.
The UVa School of Nursing is ranked among the top five percent of nursing schools in the US. It has been educating world-class nurses and improving patient care through robust nursing research for over 100 years. As the primary communications tool in its ongoing global recruitment drive and the information hub of the UVA's School of Nursing's academic and research programmes, the existing website needed the ability to manage an exponential growth in content. Due to the overwhelming volume of information traversing the site, scalability limitations and publishing bottlenecks, the decision was made to overhaul the website and invest in web content management. TERMINALFOUR was selected based on the efficiency of its software and its vast portfolio of higher education clients.
TERMINALFOUR Site Manager has simplified the online publishing process for the school by removing the requirement that only web developers can publish updates. This has freed up developer time to concentrate on higher value IT projects, improving efficiencies in the website redevelop and in ongoing maintenance. TERMINALFOUR Site Manager allows the UVa School of Nursing's many departments to take ownership of their online content. Information can be updated and changed with ease and with minimal technical aptitude, thereby allowing an enriched user experience and more comprehensive and timely communications.
Piero Tintori, CEO and founder of TERMINALFOUR, said, "The web project was a massive undertaking which was driven by increases in the demand for online information resources by current and prospective students, alumni, faculty, and the research community. Given the scale and importance of the project, they needed a provider that understood the inner workings of the university sector and which offered an easy-to-use product. TERMINALFOUR had the proven pedigree and relevant experience to convince them that it was the best partner."
"TERMINALFOUR has been the number one provider of web content management solutions to the UK & Irish higher education sector since 2002. This deal with the UVa School of Nursing is a ringing endorsement that our solution and experience can seamlessly cross the Atlantic and open many new opportunities," concluded Piero Tintori.
