Web Developer

The Role

The role involves the analysis and development of web sites & applications. The role will be involved in the development process from initial specification to final release. It will particularly be based within the accessible web development environment working in technologies such as XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. As TERMINALFOUR have an international client base some travel will be necessary.

Responsibilities

Based within our Professional Services department in Dublin and reporting to our Project Delivery and Support Manager, the role will specifically involve the following:

  • Working closely with our Project Managers to specify and develop web based applications and sites
  • Build a high level of technical competency in the TERMINALFOUR product portfolio

Requirements

  • Self starter and a “Can do” attitude
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Web Developer
  • Excellent knowledge of web platforms, applications and technologies
  • Practical experience developing accessible sites using W3C standards
  • Experience in analysis, usability design and specification
  • Communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • An interest in and experience in web based technologies including; HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, W3C & WAIA language such as php, asp or .net is an advantage
  • Database and operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux etc) experience an advantage
  • Attention to detail and quality essential
  • Logical thinker and problem solver
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard working hours to facilitate clients in different time zones
