The Role
The role involves providing current and potential customers with consultancy and training services in order to help them plan, specify and deploy TERMINALFOUR solutions throughout their organization. It also involves working closely with a diverse range of medium to large organisations, across a number of areas, technical and non-technical.
Responsibilities
The Pre-Sales Consultant role is based within our Sales and Marketing department, reporting to the CEO on a day-to-day basis, and working very closely with Professional Services and Support departments.
As TERMINALFOUR have an international client base, some travel will be necessary. Responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
Pre-Sales
- Providing technical expertise to the TERMINALFOUR sales team, customers and partners throughout the sales cycle.
- Presenting and demonstrating TERMINALFOUR and partner software, both in person and remotely.
- Contributing to and preparing bids and proposals, particularly the technical and functional elements.
- Attending, presenting and representing TERMINALFOUR at trade shows and conferences.
- Visualising the solution during the pre-sales process and working closely with potential customers to plan the structure of a solution.
- Developing and managing TERMINALFOUR demonstration materials, available on our website and included with evaluation software that is targeted at potential customers.
Partners
- Providing consultancy and pre-sales product assistance to our partners who re-sell our products nationally and internationally.
- Assisting partners with their bid and proposal preparation
Post-Sales
- Presenting, Meeting and Working with existing clients to maximise their use of TERMINALFOUR software and identify up-selling opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in a customer facing or pre-sales support environment.
- Working knowledge of various web platforms, applications, technologies, HTML/XML mark up and languages.
- 3rd level degree or equivalent, preferably in a web or technical discipline.
- Proven track record of contributing to and supporting successful sales cycles.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering training.
- Experience in drafting bid and proposal documents .
- Excellent inter-personal skills with both clients and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude essential.
- Experience in presenting and demonstrating technical solutions.
- Knowledge of content and information management best practices including metadata, search and accessibility.
- Knowledge of web development processes, tools and standards.
- Experience in capturing user requirements, documenting them and proposing solutions.
- Experience in effectively imparting technical expertise and consultancy.
