Accounts Assistant
The Role
Based at our Dublin Headquarters the Accounts Assistant will have responsibility for the company's accounting function incorporating the smooth running of the day to day accounts.
Responsibilities
Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, the role will involve specifically:-
- Managing and controlling the Debtors and Creditors ledgers.
- Ensuring that all project work undertaken is invoiced correctly and on time.
- Liaising with Professional Services staff to deal with and resolve customer invoice queries.
- Ensuring that all items are recorded in a timely fashion on Sage Line 50 accounting system.
- Handling the company's banking transactions including the company's credit card accounts.
- Preparing the monthly payroll and incorporating the Company's pension scheme.
- Verification and actioning the payment of the company's VAT liabilities both in Ireland and abroad as necessary.
- Preparation of monthly financial management information and assisting with the preparation of annual budgets etc.
Requirements
- Some years experience of working in the financial function of a small to medium sized company.
- In-depth experience of the "Sage Line 50" accounting package.
- Experience in effective debtor collection.
- Excellent communicator with ability to prepare concise summary financial information for management.
- Will be personally well organised, presentable and manage own time effectively.
- Will have an ability to work in a team environment.
- Will have strong experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Will be ideally IATI qualified but not essential.
